Running in NYC
September 17, 2016
Stunning view looking straight to Brooklyn from the Manhattan side
I was soaked in sweat (but “pics or it didn’t happen”)
It was difficult finding an angle to fit the entire spectacle with my Powershot (hence, cut off bridge)
Do all that you can do
Yesterday I woke up late, having slept in, and thought to myself, “What can I do today?” I had approximately 4 hours before I had to be at Grand Central Terminal to pick up a friend who’d be staying for the weekend.
At first I considered falling down the inefficacious YouTube hole… then considered eating in bed while scrolling through Instagram… and finally figured that I should just sleep while I can and go back to sleep.
These lazy pastimes PLAGUE us millennials. We can blame society, social norms, technology, etc., but we need to start blaming ourselves. Especially as a student, I have plenty of time at my disposal. Even with only two free hours, that is enough time to do something productive.
Back to yesterday morning.
I woke up with around 3 free hours and decided to make something of it. I planned a run.
If you want to know how it went, I’m going to link my vlog about it down below from my YouTube channel:
Watch it if you want to see some cool time lapses, views, and me in pain!
